Zimmerman Nature Preserve

Zimmerman Nature Preserve offers prairie, wetland and wooded scenes with boardwalks and trail viewpoints — great for birdlife, seasonal wildflowers and reflective water compositions. Best at sunrise or late afternoon for warm side-light and active wildlife; spring and fall for migration and blooms. Parking available at the trailhead (no fee). Trails include boardwalk sections and some uneven surfaces — bring waterproof shoes. Weekdays and early mornings reduce crowds.
