Waltham Brooks is a flat wetland reserve of reedbeds, shallow pools and grassland attracting wildfowl, waders and seasonal wildflowers. Shoot bird behaviour, reflections in still channels, and intimate reedland abstracts. Best at dawn/dusk and in spring migration; winter brings skeins of geese. Paths are mostly level; small roadside parking on Brook Ln and no entry fee. Expect muddy sections—bring waterproofs and respect wildlife hides.
