Wehlsteinaussicht is a cliff-top viewpoint above the Elbe valley near the famous Bastei rock bridge. Photograph dramatic sandstone formations, sweeping river-valley panoramas, layered forests and early-morning mist. No entry fee; short paved trail from Basteistraße with nearby parking (Bastei/Lohmen). Best at sunrise or golden hour for warm side light and long shadows; late autumn and spring offer clearer air. Can be busy in summer—weekdays or off-season give cleaner compositions.
