Small, photogenic lighthouse at the end of Imperial Beach’s pier/jetty — great for dramatic seascapes, silhouettes and long exposures with surf and wide Pacific horizons. Best at sunrise for soft warm light and at sunset for colorful skies reflected on wet sand. Easily reached from the townside parking and beach; the structure is generally not open to public entry. Expect crowds on weekends and watch tides and surf for safe access to the jetty.
