RSPB Northward Hill is a reedbed and woodland reserve overlooking tidal marshes — prime for photographing marsh harriers, bitterns, winter raptors and migrating passerines from hides and tracks. Best at dawn and dusk in spring/autumn migration or winter for raptor activity; foggy mornings add mood. Reserve has marked paths and several hides; expect uneven ground and some short walks from the small car park. RSPB members may have free access to facilities; check gate times and visiting guidelines
