Yumuktepe is a multilayered Neolithic tell overlooking Mersin with terraced earthworks, exposed archaeological cuts and a low skyline of the Taurus foothills. Photograph textured earthen layers, ancient foundations, and wide vistas at golden hour. Best at sunrise or late afternoon for warm side-light and long shadows; weekdays and early mornings avoid school groups. Small site with modest entry and limited parking on Soğuksu Cd.; bring water and respect restricted areas and signage.
